Listen Ladies, I can't always be sunshine and sugar.

Sometimes I need to be a little more...well, me and today is a day I am going to tell it like it is.

I've tried out a few new products in the last couple of weeks, and while some are from well known companies, and others aren't, they all have one thing in common:

"Hated It!".

And, now that we are all on the same page, let me tell you my take on a few beauty products that unfortunately did not make me feel like the ultimate Jersey Broad.

Before going there, I have to say that while these products didn't work for me, it is not to say you will feel the same.

(Even though I am pretty sure you should listen to me.)

One evening of recent past I hauled my new roommate (who also happens to be my amaze graphic designer to an event at the Classic Car Club in West Soho.

(Yeah, I know - cars? Whatevs there was free booze and I needed a drink that day.)

I quickly noticed everyone drinking cotton-candy pink, bubbly cocktails and was immediately intrigued.

Pink and bubbly?

Either this was going to be really awesome, or this was going to be really gross.

Well, I helped myself to my very own bubbly pink concoction and - LOVES it!

Upon further inspection I discovered the geniuses behind the sparkling confection go by the name Nuvo.

So what's in it you ask?

An absolutely delish blend of French sparkling wine and tres-smooth vodka.

(Yeah, there's supposed to be an accent over that s but I can't figure out how to make it happen on my keyboard.)

The result: a super yums Sparkling Liqueur. Three (okay, four...five, who's counting) glasses later, I stumbled arrived home happy as a sparkling clam.

Blow, New York's Blow Dry Bar has announced its debut of the b card, an exclusive student card for Manhattan's elite students.

The card entitles students to a 15% discount on all services as well as many other perks.

Come to Blow Uptown and celebrate the week of October 5th with a complimentary back-to-school blow out.

All students up to 21 are eligible (must show student ID) and offer is available from 3-8pm, Mon-Fri.

Confession: I've never been to Blow (even though, at one time, I lived across the street from the Salon - on 14th & 9th). It's a full-service hair salon that specializes in blow-outs. I've heard mixed reviews, some swear by it. And some others, well... they think it's marketing at it's finest.
