New Trend? Beauty And Cupcakes?

BeautyGirlsEatCupcakes.jpgBeauty products & cupcakes = two major female overindulgences.

(In a bad mood? Hello random Sephora. All sampled & shopped out? Why, now I feel a bit peckish. Hello Baked by Melissa.)

Right.

This Vday (and I swear, after this, GC is done with Vday) Benefit & Lipstick Queen share the same strategy: partner with baked good companies.

If you're in NYC today (Feb 12th), and fancy a cupcake, Benefit wants you to stop by the CupcakeStop truck (Hay Lev!). The first 300 people to line up and purchase the CCS's Vday "Sugarbomb" cupcake will also get the new Benefit Sugarbomb Face Powder.

The PR girls emailed us earlier this week and said, "whether you're a single gal or attached this V-day, everyone loves a sweet cupcake".

Actually, Little Mama-heads, while I'd love to see what the new Benefit Sugarbomb is like, I beg to differ; single girls don't want a sweet cupcake.

Single girls want to stay skinny so they can get themselves a sweet piece of ass.

Similiarly, Poppy King, owner of (what I think has one of the freshest packagings out there) Lipstick Queen, has partnered with Sweet Jewels Bakery in NYC to create a "Fired Up" cupcake ball.

The cupcake was inspired by LQ's Fired Up lip gloss. Both are available online on either site, and, for a limited time only.

So, what's the deal here Benefit & LQ?

Are we capitalizing on this cupcake trend (which seems to come & go every couple of years)?

Or, are you telling us to plump up & look pretty?

My input for next year?

Condoms & Cannolis.
